State reform and decentralisation

Reforming government administrations, strengthening local, national and regional institutional capacities, so as to encourage the development process are the challenges that Egis BDPA tackles in terms of institutional development.

  1. State reform and modernisation:

Public authority reform; governance and management of public affairs; ministry and public institution reform (redefining assignments, organising, promoting and strengthening human resources, training plans, procedures, etc.); Public-Private Partnership (PPP); modernisation of public services; sector development policy and strategic planning.

  1. Public finance:

Improving public finance management; debt management; public investment programming; public procurement; strengthening the taxation bodies; and support for accounting and budgetary management.

  1. Regional integration:

Strengthening the common market; neighbourhood programme; cross-border cooperation programme; national sector policy harmonisation; regional cooperation strategy.

  1. Legal and legislative framework:

Strengthening the legal and regulatory framework; legislative support for introducing State reforms.

Today Egis Bdpa is recognised as being a specialist in the decentralisation process and regularly participates in programmes and projects covering the following topics:

  • Improving governance
  • Support in setting up decentralisation policies
  • Assistance in the decentralisation process and support for local authorities
